My son said “Mom, I don’t remember what I’m supposed to do on Valentines Day, and how it works.” I replied and told him that Valentines Day is when we show each other we love each other, we make hearts and kiss and hug. They made heart sun catchers last year and so I reminded them of how we did that. One day my son will fall in love with some girl and celebrate Valentines Day in a different light, but now I want him to learn agape love. The kind of love Christ showed us all. The kind of love otherwise known as GRACE which means He loves us no matter what we do or do not do so that He sent Jesus to save us from eternal darkness in the after life. (John 3:16) I don’t know about you, but that blows my mind away. Realizing that the Bible spells the way by which we can all get to Heaven is the only kind of love that satisfies.
I like to celebrate holidays. I usually make a hype over Valentines Day by decorating the house. Here was my V- Day blog post 2 years ago which showed some decorating ideas and heart projects. This year, we are spending Valentines Day on the airplane to Hong Kong so it will be a little different. Nevertheless, here are some interior design inspirations in the spirit of this romantic day ..
Pantone declared the most gorgeous hue as the color of the year. I am absolutely smitten by Rose Quartz because I have always loved pink, to begin with. I bet you can tell by the color of my blog and brand which started 3 years ago.
What a brilliant idea of painting this door rose quartz found on the pompeli blog.
Here’s another gorgeous and somewhat daring use of rose quartz on the entrance of the Entrecote Restaurant by Flax Studio at Melbourne.
So if you are like me, thinking of something to give my husband and kids at the very last-minute this Valentine’s day, why not order my scent diffuser. It smells light, fresh and looks very pretty too. You can order here, and it may just ship right in time. Better late than none too.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!!
