I was inspired to organize my kids’ toys and put a “purpose” to everything they own because of my friend Jennifer. She is a sweet American lady who was a Kindergarten teacher in New York City. Every time we would visit her, she had a ton of toys organized so that they were all purposeful and educational. Music toys were in one bin, Old food cartons and plastic fruits were on a shelf for her daughter to play grocery; she even had a toy cashier register and play money in a wallet!
I was very blessed and inspired that she got me to organize my own playroom. Something that was really a project of mine waiting to be done. I got a set of shelves that I love from a store called Color and Life in Mega Mall and some plastic container boxes and got to my task. This is what my playroom looks like now.
I wrote a post on glamomamas.com about Organizing Children’s toys. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the tips I’ve written down and you will surely learn about other tips and techniques like “toy rotation” Visit the site and hope you get inspired to make play more meaningful.
