I remember my early college days when I was obsessed with dark-colored nail polish. I would paint each of my fingers in different shades of plum and dark blue. I cringe at the thought because I can no longer wear dark polish now. I learned to love simple clean hues in pink, nude or beige. Sometimes I go for happy colors like bright yellow or light blue.
When I was in college, there was no such thing as safe, non toxic polish. With all the toxins in today’s world I like to be careful about what my body absorbs. I buy organic food and produce, reduce the use of plastic by switching to stainless steel Tupperwares and water bottles; and use organic personal care. I was so thrilled to know that toxin free nail polish is now available! I was even more happy when they asked me to collaborate with them and produce two colors. We came up with the Pantone Colors of the Year, Rose Quartz and Serenity. I love the calm that this hue of blue brings, and if you follow my blog, you’ll know that I seriously love light pink!
Solique nail polish gels are free of harmful phthalates and chemicals found in other nail polish brands. This brand made in France is so safe, you won’t even smell anything repulsive! Unlike other gel nail polishes that need UV lamps to complete the process, Solique is sun- activated. I love its glossy finish and durability is impeccable. It is so safe that I even let my 4-year-old daughter use it.
We celebrated our collaboration with a launch inviting friends and media to enjoy an afternoon of nail pampering at the Coco Nail Studio in Alabang. Good food, fun conversation and pampering in delicate colors was something all our guest enjoyed.
