There is a greater need for storage space when it comes to small apartment living. You need to avoid clutter at all cost otherwise your home will look even smaller. These clever design tricks will give you added storage space and it is a must for small spaces.
Invest in decorative storage boxes, bins or baskets. You’ll be surprised at how these decorative boxes and baskets come in handy. Ditch those hideous plastic tubs and hide you items in these pretty containers.
Use furniture that can double up as storage. Look for tables with drawers or chests that you can use to store stuff in.
Look for dead space that you can build storage around. You can usually build storage around doorways, in corners of rooms, around the kitchen sink, toilet and much more. Be imaginative and open your mind to spot useful places around the house.
Make use of storage accessories to organize your home. There are lots of storage racks and gadgets to use for organizing. These help and allow extra storage in small apartments.
Install temporary surfaces to add to your small spaces. Murphy tables and small surfaces like this give you an extra place to put things, they are also easy to dismantle when your lease is over.
