What does your vanity space look like and what does beauty mean to you? If you’re a mom like me, anything more than ten minutes with my makeup is a luxury. I constantly find myself in a rush to get ready as the kids seem to always need attention but it is my me time. I shouldn’t have to be worrying about the kids or my next meeting. I want to simply enjoy this space and have a few minutes to pamper myself. That’s on thing I realized lately.. even if I am so busy, I need to make time for myself. I realized that it does not have to be a long time, but simply making the most of small time I have to myself instantly lifts my spirits. I noticed that when I light a candle, and spend a few minutes by my vanity dresser, I can have quality me time. The key is to create that nook you love and make it beautiful for you. Here are some dresser inspirations and some tips on styling your vanity.
When it comes to making your vanity area look pretty, I have two suggestions..
1. Conceal all the clutter inside drawers or storage boxes and organize them just like the photo above.
There’s no better way to make something look pretty unless you organize and hide the clutter. It isn’t merely for aesthetic reasons, it disciplines you to be a neater person.
2. Style the top of your vanity with your most pretty perfume bottles or make up, and add some decor like candles and books for inspiration.
There are lots of new organizers that make pretty decor like catch- all trays, jewelry trees and acrylic makeup stands. You can even make your own by using glass bottles and jars. Adding pretty things to look at make your space look better.
Have you ever stopped to wonder what beauty means to you? In the world of modeling it was just all about glamor and external beauty but as I grew older I saw the importance of inner beauty. I used to be pre- occupied by my weight, striving to be as skinny as my co models, I had to always be made up. Now I feel more free, content and happy even if I don’t obsess about how I look.
Beauty can also mean staying healthy and fit. I was invited to an event for Pantene hair conditioner and it made me realize that keeping my hair healthy is quite necessary too. Not because of what it looks like externally but because damaged hair is not healthy. My hair is damaged by coloring chemicals and the sun. It is short so it may not be obvious but when scrutinized it was not healthy at all. I never saw the importance of keeping hair healthy because it didn’t look severely damaged but I was thankful that i learned something new that day. This is why I decided to try Pantene as it deposits a protective layer on hair strands to coat and repair damage. You can find more about Pantene hair conditioners by visiting pantene.com.ph
At the end of the day we all just want to look decent, but I believe in staying healthy and creating beauty around us because pockets of free time made blissful uplifts our spirits. It may be in your own space of me time like your vanity dressing room, your bathroom, or simply a nook in your bedroom but making it neat, and adding some style and decor will make you feel a whole lot better.
