Imagine a structure you can design to your heart’s desire.. a place where you can get away to read, write, blog or rest. Ahhhh! doesn’t it sound like heaven? Yes, we all need our own space from time to time. I love being a mom, it’s the best job I have and I would be incomplete and lost without my children but I can come up with a handful of scenarios when I wish I had my own mom shed. Busy mornings after 5 hours of sleep, the sight of a chaotic room hit by an explosion of toys, and toddler tantrums when you really just want to leave them on the floor to deal with their own issues. These are some of the things that make mommy life interesting. Wouldn’t it be divine to just hide and get lost with yourself in one of these?
This morning I wanted to sleep in a little more because I didn’t fall asleep until about 2 am. The kids were up by 7:30 so I got them dressed and ready for the day. I intended to go back to bed but a million things were on my mind. Things I had to do for work, people I had to text, and finances that had to be sorted. I found myself reluctantly getting ready for the day. I brought my laptop down to the breakfast table so I could work. My little girl walks in and tells me about how my son fought our house help. Things like these are never tolerated so I had some morning discipline to execute. Mornings like this.. little sleep, tons of work and needy children make me dream of having my own space. Here are more photos to make you dream..
If you are wondering what the interiors of these sheds look like, here are some photos. They are usually used as garden shed but can be made into anything like craft rooms, a bloggers haven, a home office, and more.
I am picturing my own mom shed to be mostly white, with lots of storage and organizers. It would be a place for me to work and I would make sure I had lots of natural light, greens and flowers. Maybe something like this..
What would you use your mom shed for and how would you want it to look like if you could build one? Happy Monday dear friends!

Hello Deeryah,
How old is your son? My son was like that when he was a baby. He would wake up to nurse 4-5x a night. I don’t know how I survived that. Yes let’s just dream of our mom sheds for now..

Stopping by from Blog Society. I would love to have a little Mom Shed – it will never happen, but I can always dream. For now I have to make do with our extra bedroom.
