Live orchestra music, wine, and Art on a pleasant day made our Sunday afternoon perfect! Just across the street from where we are currently living, Salcedo Park in Makati City holds this annual event where anyone can come and enjoy the festive atmosphere and purchase art from any gallery or artist of their choice. Art In The Park aims to create awareness and at the same time give new artist the chance to show case and sell their work. Visitors can purchase anything from Art work, photographs, sculptures and print. Prices range from p40,000.00 and below.
It was great that we could just cross the street and be there.. my husband and I had a good time bumping into old friends. There was so much to choose from that I literally couldn’t find one piece of art that I truly wanted. Ok, I admit, I was broke and was in no shopping mode. Good thing I had my camera with me, I busily went from tent to tent snapping away. I wish I could give you a few names of artist but it was humid, I was sweaty, holding my bag and camera so sorry.. no artist names. Here were a few of my favorites.
Ok I did manage to get one name because my friend Rajo Laurel showed me these clever paint brushes turned into conversation art.. They are made by this girl named Monica Delgado who studied in the University of the Philippines and now resides in New York. Enjoy the rest of the photos!
