Plain walls.. Lifeless, longing to be decorated, wanting to find its purpose in a house. When I had my first home, I could not afford to buy artwork and made do with the prints my husband bought in a market in Spain. It did not speak joy, I mean sure, it added color but it did not add spark.. Then I bought my first painting for $200 from some unknown artist, which I loved and keep to this day. It was an artwork of the Mona Lisa made into an abstract with drip paint in neutral colors and hints of purple.
That’s just it! Art is meant to add joy, spark and life to your walls. It is meant to refresh, calm or liven up your spirit and a house with bare walls just like this photos below is rather sad.
But what if you can buy your first artwork for the same affordable price of prints from a market in Europe or for the same price that I bought my first original art for in 2008? When it comes to art, it is not always the price that matters but the positive joy or nostalgic feeling it brings to you. That is why I love to paint, I love to create because it not only soothes my mind, it brings life and joy to other people’s homes!
Introducing my latest art collection – “FROM WITHIN”.
Each piece captures the emotions that everyone experiences in life.
From the “Unspeakable Joy”described in 1 Peter 1:8
to sorrow of “Crushed Spirit” in Psalm 34:18, and the
worries spoken about in Philippians 4:6-7′ captured in “Sinking Deep”.
Overall, the tone of this collection is dominated by happy bright colors because we have hope in Christ!
