Anyone would have felt relaxed upon entering Le Jardin, the venue for our Wholemom workshop with SM Home . It was a refreshing afternoon in the French garden-like venue. As I arrived early to set up our props and furniture display for SM Home, I immediately found myself ordering a cold glass of lavender infused iced coffee. Wholemom began last July 2015 and we are currently on our 5th workshop. “The wholemom workshsop was a totally refreshing experience, I felt like I came from Mommy Spa.” says Happy Puno, one of the attendees. Being a hands on work at home mom of two kids, I understand how a day can literally go by with no quiet time for myself. On days when I have no house help and I have to do everything from cooking to dishes, cleaning and laundry we reserve every bit of left over energy for the children. It is easy to feel depleted and so time for soul nourishment, and reflection is needed. This is what Wholemom is about and when we get comments and questions on our social media from moms asking questions or commenting, we ourselves feel refreshed and encouraged.
Home Beauty Heart
Yesterday’s workshop began with a fun getting to know you session before we proceeded with my talk on Organizing the Home. Chescka, being one of the prettiest brand endorsers in town shared beauty and makeup tips for busy moms while Rica reminded the audience of the need to reflect and nourish the soul.
We also had a special segment where I gave tips on how to style a dinner table setup. Being an interior stylist, I often create dining table setups for clients and model homes. Being able to share tips with our audience was fun!
Inglot, the makeup brand who partnered with us for this workshop gave away a little something for each girl. Here is Chescka trying the products on the vanity setup I put together from SM Home furniture.
The three of us always have a good time listening to the stories of each mom. We genuinely find ourselves curious about how other moms live and handle their busy lives too. Here is a photo of us.. we seem amazed or in disbelief at one particular story from one of our mom attendees..
