I really don’t know what it is about bunnies, chicks and eggs during Easter, but they just look too pretty and I always like to get the kids excited over holidays we can celebrate. They are kids after all and it is at this age that they get to imagine, pretend and be creative! As long as we emphasize the true meaning of each occasion, I don’t see any harm in playing along with the Easter fun. In this case, it is the greatest love story of all.. How Christ Jesus saved us and rose from the grave. Now that’s something no one else can do! Despite my grumbling, my unloving attitude towards my husband and the many times I raise my voice in desperation.. Jesus still saved me!
We’re spending the break at my parent’s family farm and they have 3 native chickens that lay beautiful brown eggs! I’m going to have to sneak a few out to pour glitter on or turn into fun activities with my kids. Here are my top Easter crafts that you can easily create:
I love these gold glitter eggs from The Girl Inspired. This seems easy enough to do with kids provided I manage to control the amount of glitter they get their curious hands on. Might be a good idea to keep a vacuum cleaner on standby.
Another pretty decor I spotted was this bunny on canvass with a tail from Clean and Scentsible. I love that relaxing blue background and pure white bunny with a cool pouf tail.
I don’t know why but I am so attracted to anything gold or copper now! It’s like an oomph of color that instantly glamourizes (is there even such a word?) any space. Now you know why I fell in love with these gold leaf Easter eggs from Sugar and Charm. I am not sure where you can get gold leaf paper here but I figured I can try using gold spray paint too?
Ok, ok.. some of these may be too difficult or time consuming to execute.. After all most moms want something to keep the kids busy and not leave us with a whole mess to deal with. This next favorite of mine is all too cute and easy to do with pre school kids. Presenting…..The marshmallow bunny from No Time For Flash Cards!
Remember it’s not about the bunny or the eggs or those cute yellow chicks but more about Christ! Happy Easter dear friends!
