There are those morning when all you need is a cleansing breakfast smoothie. Coffee lovers are probably getting ready to chew me out but honestly, something quick, easy and nutrient dense is what fruit and veggie breakfast smoothies provide. After a junk food binge, or a fun night of drinking, don’t you just want to go for something to cleanse your system? Besides once you’ve tried a few breakfast smoothie recipes, you just might get hooked! I must admit, I look for these nutrient filled smoothies on a hot day, they are so convenient when you are on the go! I like to buy the ones with nuts and seeds or plant-based protein powders from my yoga studio when I drink them to replace my lunch.

Here’s what I love about smoothies:
They are refreshing on a hot day.
They can be filling if you put some oats, chia seeds, flax seeds or protein powder.
Often times they contain a bit from every major food group so they can be extremely healthy
It is a creative way to get fiber, vegetable and fruit into your kids diet.
