How are you all, I had a lovely relaxing time up in the farm of my parents, I worked on this site’s new look, blogged, and laughed with family. Hope you had a great long weekend too. Somewhere in the middle of this year I fell in love. A passion and vision quietly crept into my soul and awakened me. Have you ever had that kind of energy that fuels you to turn dreams into reality? I fell in love with blogging because a vision and clear intent was suddenly visible. The purpose of Marilen.ph was reborn.
I knew I wanted to inspire people to love their home and make it beautiful, but the reason behind this belief came to life and thus #inspiredhomeliving was born. I believe that a beautiful home lessens stress, and improves relationships. #inspiredhomeliving is what this is all about.. I want to inspire and motivate people to make their homes beautiful so that they live a better life. Beauty may be different for one person and another style for the other but what is important is that you create a home that YOU love. It begins with simplifying and de- cluttering.. something we can all learn, then it is followed by intention and creation.
#inspiredhomeliving is a realization of what makes you happy, the little things that are beautiful to you, and the desire to create them for your home. It need not be expensive, it can be effortless yet meaningful. It won’t happen in a day or a week for most but that is where the fun begins. Embrace the process of simplifying your life, getting rid of clutter, and seeing the beauty in your home. Watch and see your spirits rise.. your husband will be happier and your children will want to stay home!
Making your home beautiful does not mean you have to do a complex renovation, but it is accepting that you can make do with simple decorating and remodeling. It may not happen as quick as you would want it to but embracing the months it may take to get there, and learning to enjoy the little projects you newly install will be enough to make you smile. As a mom and interior stylist of my own company I have busy days. I home school my kids in the mornings, have brunch with my husband, sneak in some computer work, then maybe go to a series of meetings and errands in the afternoon. It gets hectic! Sometimes I wish I can just focus on my blog and be a mom but that’s not where I am yet. Patience and accepting the present then dreaming and executing is the key.
It is with this new vision that I share with you my blog’s new look. Did you notice?:) I wanted something clean, relaxed, sophisticated and beautiful to me. I hope you like it too. I could not have done this without the help of Martine de Luna who helped me organize my ideas and turn them into reality. The wonderful new look and logo was created by Pat of fancy girl design studio. She did an amazing job and was so patient with me until we got it perfect. I have lots of dreams to share with you.. expert tips, inspiration on how other people make their home beautiful and projects with a story to tell. You might even see some creative cooking and baking posts and the step by step progress of our home construction and decorating will be a great highlight too. All these have always been what Marilen.ph was all about but this time our vision and desire to inspire is stronger! So as the year is about to end and the holiday season swiftly blows in, let’s look forward to a positive year of new intentions and #inspiredhomeliving. If there is anything you’d like to ask or know about on how to improve your home, send me a comment here or contact me. I’d be glad to help and blog about it!
